About The InkBots

The InkBots began as an online writing group for members who rose to the editorial level of Angry Robot Books’ first Open Door Month in 2011. Needing somewhere to angst and vent, we started a forum and began critiquing each others’ work. Back then, we called ourselves the Anxious Appliances. In 2012, a new crop of anxious hopefuls arrived.

Some members now have book deals with Angry Robot Books or Strange Chemistry. Many other members have gone on to gain representation or book deals with other houses, and others have won prizes or had short fiction published. Basically, we’re awesome.
